Things that matter most: Jesus. Family. Foster. Adoption. Funny stuff. Fellowship. Words. Cappuccinos (with cinnamon!). Crockpots. Paper plates. Music in the kitchen. Summer. Crowded dinner tables. "The Cookie" from Bristol Farms. Bluey.
why am I here?
I need him.
In the dirty dishes, the soul-sucking pace of the drop-off line, the failed adoptions, the rush of dinner, the Pinterest fails, that new gray hair.
I need him.
In the one missing shoe, the loss of lives and friends, the crayons on the wall, the 3 am sickies, the teenager things, all the things
.
I.Need.Jesus.
And my guess is, you need him too.
Maybe that's why you're here?
It's hard to trust God perfectly in my life, even more so with my kiddos! I so relate to the daddy with the epileptic son crying out to Jesus, "I believe; help my unbelief!" (Mark 9:24). He had enough faith to bring his son to Jesus, but there is a big "Aha!" moment here; he recognizes his lack of faith hinders his ability to surrender in complete trust.
We must surrender our own lives to him before we can confidently surrender our children to him. I pray this is a space where we can do this together! Welcome, mama!
